Mr. Randolph has broad experience in developing cost effective implementations of a variety of telecom products. He also has extensive experience designing telecom equipment for international compliance, with product approvals in over 100 countries worldwide.
Many of Mr. Randolph's consulting projects have involved development of equipment used by network carriers for delivering POTS, DSL, broadband fiber, and wireless services. He is a recognized expert in the design of protection circuits for lightning and power cross, including compliance with industry standards such as the ITU K-series standards and Telcordia NEBS GR-1089-CORE.
Prior to forming Randolph Telecom in 1984, Mr. Randolph was employed at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he held positions as a Member of Technical Staff and as a Technical Supervisor. His prior experience as a manager in a product development environment helps him to understand management's perspective on technical and marketing issues, and to be responsive to those concerns.
Mr. Randolph holds a BSEE degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a MSEE degree from Purdue University. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a member of the Telecom Advisory Committee for the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society, and a member of the Advisory Board for ATIS-PEG (Protection Engineers Group).
